Matt,
We use a standard commercial one for our deep cycle 12v marine batteries
in upper Maine. Even though the summers are NOT that sunny, often being
rainy/cloudy (and occasional hail <g>), we found that they work great.
So I see no reason to think that 24v ones wouldn't do the same.
