Dear Listers......
Here's the first:-
Several Vietnam-era vehicles have amber headlights, but the use of these
coloured headlights doesn't seem to be widespread nor does it follow any
"User Unit" pattern that I can see. Does anyone have evidence of WHY amber
headlights were used?
In the early 1970s, I went to a jeep dealer near Southport, near Liverpool,
UK (Thomson-Doxey Export) and they specialised in M-series sales. On one of
my visits, they had just taken delivery of around 100 M38A1s, ALL of which
had yellow headlights. I do remember asking about them, but I am embarrassed
to admit that I can't remember what Tony Thomson's answer was !!!
Does anyone have any trace of an NSN or Mfr Part Number for these?
Second question:-
Has anyone got a copy for sale/swap/exchange for first-born etc....
Modification Work Order MWO9-2300-263-20 (Aug 1963) Adding Turn Signals to
Tactical Wheeled Vehicles.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
Ken
