may seem a little odd to have this on a Mil-Veh message, but of course she
was the last Queen / Empress of the British Empire, and pretty much must
have lived through the time of the last cavalry charge of the British Army
and both World Wars.
During WW2 she was often seen touring the bomb-damaged parts of London,
and every year since she did countless functions for military veterans
organisations.
As Queen in the period before WW2 she visited FDR and Eleanor to lay out
the format for agreement between the US and the UK as allies - without
which the world might now be very different.
