Subject: [MV] MB / GPW leak - Your advice please!
Hello,
I have a leak of oil coming out of the hole in the bottom of the bell
housing. I assume it is the rear main seal.
How is the best way to fix this??...can it be done without pulling the
engine. I remember that this seal is the rope - type seal.
The engine hasn't run much in a long time...any chance that it will seal
itself?? Is there any additive that will help this ???
thanks
MIke Curtis
