Hi Everette and List...

Same here. I just visited my regular Farmers Insurance agent and she
put it on my policy for $120 per 6 months (the exact same cost as my
1962 MGB roadster!).

I carry only liability and bodily injury/property damage and uninsured
motorist. I skipped the expensive collision and theft since the truck
only cost $3,000 I self-insure. I had to have high medical limits
because I use the deuce for hauling Cub Scouts around and the BSA has
certain requirements, but the increased medical only cost $10 or so.

It was funny when I insured it. I fully disclosed to her what the
vehicle was, and in fact brought a photo and she had seen it in the
town parade and thought it was cool. The agent was going through the
questions on the computer screen to set up the policy and came to the
question "Is the vehicle a 4x4?" I told her that it was a 6x6, so we
had to honestly answer that question with "NO". It didn't say "all
wheel drive", but specifically 4x4. Just like an SUV is not a 4x2
just because you can disengage the front drive, a deuce is not 4x4
because you can disengage the front drive either. It is 6x6. I
probably saved some money there.

Made me laugh!
