Strangely enough, the Sparrow Hawk Fighter used a skyhook to attach
to the the trapeze arrangement on the Two US Rigid Airship (Akron and
Macon as I recall). These were the first and only airborne carriers
(if you don't count the Goblin parasite fighter and mother ship).
