My recent application to USAA had to be routed through the General Agency, which means USAA is NOT the Underwriter. Hagerty was more $$$ than JC Taylor, which was about half as much $$$ compared to USAA GA.
On auto policies that USAA does underwrite they are VERY reasonable, and the "dividend" that you sometimes receive makes it even more so.
