Try "Goo Gone" it seams to work pretty good and it seems safe.

Hello List!
I'm looking for suggestions on an easy way to take the adhesive back foam
padding off the R.O.P.S. roll over cage on a M151A2. I've been using heat
and cutting with a knife - it's a very messy and time consuming method. I
was hoping someone else had been through this and may have suggestions on an
easier way to remove the padding. I've completed 1/3rd of this job and
there is no turning back.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Pam & Dan
