Hi gang... got a minor problem, my standard military generator, w/4 cyl.
Chrysler, 3 kw, which always starts on the first tug, is flooding out big
time after about 10 seconds. I noticed the governor control knob had slipped
loose, so I set it to the middle position on the slide, not knowing where it
was set before. Still floods and shuts down, lots of gas in cyl., plugs
wet, lots of spark.
Could this governor control be causing the flooding?
I tapped on the float bowl in case it had a stuck valve.. didn't help.
Anything else I could check?
What is the proper setting for the governor?
Manual mentions placing it in run or govern, but it doesn't say which way is
run or govern!
Thanks, Jack
