"aluminum hull"
Nobody that I am aware of was using aluminum for such uses in the 1940s.
Of course, anything is possible, but not probable.

Notice that Jim takes the time to translate Petrol to Gasoline for us
ignorant Americans, but then puts in numbers with those strange "k"
things after them :-)
Someday I will be able to read my Pinz spedo correctly instead of looking
out the window and saying "I'm probably going slow enough through this
school zone"!
