I have been restoring my MB for sometime now, and I just got to the
windshield. Pulled it out of my shed yesterday afternoon and looked at it
for the first time in years. Just wanted to check that I have the correct
one, not one for a CJ2A, before I go too far.
The space for the windshield skin appears to be higher than I remember. The
JCWhitney catalog indicates that the height of the windshield for a 1945
jeep should be approximately 23 inches, and for a CJ2A should be 25 inches.
I have the 2 piece glass and it measures about 25.5 inches. It has 3 tubes
behind the windshield skin: the bottom one, the middle one with mounts for
the carbine holder, and the top one that is just below the inner windshield
frame.
Can anyone tell me if I have the proper one for a 1945MB and/or point me to
some pictures to look at.
Thanks in advance. Herb
