A good idea, however this vehicle is leaking something pretty much
everywhere and has two engines: I'd have to use my scuba gear if I were to
try this method! Then again, the undercarriage WOULD be clean
afterward. Hmmm....
From what you all have said on this topic I can start with one version and
flush system with brake fluid, or use alcohol to flush it then put brake
fluid in.
1: If the two DOT fluid types do get mixed in the system, does it just
(just!) eat rubber seals? Or could it cause the brakes to fail internally
because they fluids don't push/pull on each other properly?
2: One response said denatured alcohol, the others said alcohol. If we
are trying to dry it up how about something like paint thinner? Or Lacquer
thinner? I use these to neutralize stripper when restoring antiques... ?
Thanks to everyone for pipping up.
