Thanks, Joe - that makes perfect sense. I will give it a try.
Also - does anybody have any new cab canvas for an M35?
Thanks -
Mark

Elementary, Mark, elementary. You're lucky it even came
off without opening the channels. Take a claw hammer,
insert the claws in the channel's low spots and twist
it sideways to open the channels up. A pry bar will also
do the trick. Don't crack a windshield by applying
pressure against the inner windshield frames and be
careful opening up the side channels as the spot welds
can pop loose. After you insert the top in the windshield
frame channel, take a pair of channel locks and squeeze
the channel tight in about six places, including the ends.
Squeeze the side channels after you slide the top down
and twist the fasteners.
