M51 vs. M817?

I'm trying to get some help in deciding which of these
trucks would be a better choice for me.

I'm very new to this and while i plan to talk to
dealers, I would prefer to be more educated on the
subject.

Are the parts interchangable?

Is one easier to drive and ride in?

Does one have an achilles heel?

Noisier, faster, more powerful, better gas mileage,
cheaper insurance, easier emissions, better equipt,
easier to find parts for?

The list of questions is endless, please help.
