I don't know what the Army would have used one for unless with a Battery
charging system. Some early Thelphone systems used 115 DC for the office
battery and would have needed to have a charger in the field.
No, you cannot change the generator over to AC but could replace it with a
AC onew. If you have no use for it I have a Navy shipboard radio TCZ and
need a source of 115 DC to sun the motor generators to power it. Maby we
can work something out.
