RE Insurance companies and MV events: I was a multi-line adjuster for 10
years, had to deal with underwriters and agents a great deal. I've NEVER
seen anything like the conditions many MV Insurance companies / agents try
to slap on you and your hobby. As I do not have a garage ( one which will
fit a deuce ) I'm pretty much out of luck. The fellow who (?) publishes
the MVPA magazine posted a link to an article on MV Insurance a week ago
here ( THANK YOU ), and one company said 'maybe' about the lack of a garage
but.... What do those with half a dozen vehicles on the area behind their
barn do for insurance?
Then again, these specialty carriers get $50-$80 per half year or
year. State Farm would have written my deuce for $68 per half year,
however their underwriter said as the truck 'was not in parade show form'
they would not write it. Instead, I can have a normal policy from them for
$500 per 6 months. Which is more than for my new Toyota. sigh. <g>
