I have a friend who has a 1942 Jeep CJ2A. It is civilian and has a PTO on
the back end of the thing. Also has some sort of measuring device clamped
to the steering wheel column with a bendix cable going down someplace under
the body.
Can anybody tell me if this is an unusual vehicle or possibly worth more
than the usual amount of money.
We are planning to put it back in running order and it would be good to know
what we are dealing with.
It has always been garaged and has absolutely no rust that I can find on it
anywhere. The seals are dripping here and there, but it has not run in
about 12 years.
I am thinking that the vehicle must share a great many parts with military
jeeps of the time and I can't imagine a lot of civilian jeeps rolling off
the line, but I could be totally wrong also.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
