"....At the time the Second Amendment was written the Militia from thirteen
colonies had just defeated and removed an unjust government from control of
there lands and individual rights."

Not quite correct - The 13 Colonies had a regular Army recruited under the
auspices of the Committee of Safety (starting in 1775) and subsequently the
Continental Congress. The militia was recruited locally by a colony to
defend its territory. A number of militia recruits from each colony were
regularly rotated for a few months' duration into the Continental Army for
training and reinforcing the regular Army. These were called "the militia
levies". This doesn't detract from the contribution of the militia to the
overall effort of getting rid of the British rule here, but in most cases
they we not up to the professional level of the regular Continental Army. In
many cases the militia fought bravely, especially when the campaign was on
their home turf.

"......The 2nd amendment was written to empower the citizens of the United
States
to protect themselves should this occur again anytime in future history 10
years or a 1000."

This is correct..
