I purchased a U-haul tow bar to tow mine home. If you use heavy (3/4") bolts
and backing plates, you can use the slots in the front bumper. An really the
tow fine as long as you keep it under 50 mph. I towed mine with a 1997 Ford
e-150 w/ towing package.

Subject: [MV] Towing an M715 with a civilian truck

List,
A while back I mentioned that a friend was looking to buy an M715 (among
other vehicles). He just recently purchased it. It is in good shape, but
he is going to tow it home with his pickup truck. Will a military towbar
hook up to the lifting shackles on the front of an M715? Would a civilian
towbar work? A civilian towbar would be easier for him since he does not
have a pintle hitch (he'd have to buy one) and the civilian towbards are
generally lighter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bruce
