The problem is the shaft has nowhere to grip that is not a cylindrical
machined surface,
oxy will be used, an I think I will try to get it to grip in my heavy-duty
vice with
600wet&dry and cloth to prevent shaft damage, but i dont know if this will
be enough to prevent the shaft turning..I had a devil of a time with a
couple of others, but they could
be " locked" by previously described methods..I had to use oxy and belt the
2" drive handle with a very heavy hammer, accompanied by some foul language.

Do you have access to Oxy/Acet.
With a small tip heat the nut for 30 seconds on three spots this extreme
short term heat, might expand and loosen the nut a tad?

Hopefully you have enough room without burning down the wholle bloody shed.
