I was concerned about the same thing with my truck. I changed the oil with
filters I got from Memphis Equipment right after I got it. I didn't notice
what the pressure was doing on start up before I changed the oil. The new
filters looked a little different than the one's I took out. I called
Memphis and talked to one of the mechanics and he told me the oil slowly
drains from the filters over a few hours, so when you crank it cold it takes
at least 10 seconds to fill them up again. I'm still a little concerned.
Some of you old army guys jump in here and advise up new kids.

iakes about 10 seconds for the oil pressure to move the guage. Then it goes,
within a second or so, to about 70. (Wnen hot, it's

with the engine, and I have new filters etc. just recently. (this didn't
change anything)

normal? The engine definitely quets down slightly once the oil pressure
rises above 20 or so.
