Quite the same - MB was Willys, GPW was Ford. The
easy way to tell - the lock indentations
on the back tool boxes on the rear fenderwells
are square on Ford, round on Willys. Also, the
frame crossover tube right behind the radiator
is round on Willys, but on Ford it is a squarish channel open
on the bottom. Both companies made right at
300,000 of each, with Willys slightly more. The
Fords also will have a script F on many of the parts
and bolts.

Just curious, about earlier Jeeps... What's the difference between the MB
and GPW, and how would I walk up to one and tell which is which?
