The engine runs quite well once started, so I'm going through a normal
tune-up. The carb seems to be doing its thing except for having a sticky
spot near idle that makes it hard for the spring to full back to idle (I
suspect the piston inside the governer).

Anyway, I pulled the distributor and plug wires, and disassembled the
distributor. Am replacing everyhing I can replace (plugs, wires, cap,
condesor, rotor, points, etc), and looking at the RF filter on the 28V
input line. The points were probably set ok, but were burnt.

So where do the two vent lines go to (I have two brass fittings on each
side, but no lines connected)?

I'm having more fun working on the truck than other things these days - it
is so easy to work on.
