M35A2 Brakes

Can someone direct me to the correct manual for a detailed explanation of
the brake system for the M35A2? I recently added DOT 5 to my deuce and
discovered a line that goes form the top of the master cylinder fill plug
to a T joint. This line has been broken off and I am not sure why??
