I'll let kids up into my ferret or dingo, but, they're closely
supervised and I show the the power of the hatches to break fingers.
That usualyl keeps their fingers off of things they don't understand.

That's where you explain that the gun is not a toy and that they
shouldn't point it at anyone. A pointed look at their parents usually
helps.
