Spotted on a last night's TV documentary about the appalling road death rate
(averaging 260 per day!) in India, was a, still hard at work, CMP Canadian
C60 Wrecker, from WW2 - either a Cheverolet or Ford.
With its twin boom Garwood crane, the tired and battered old CMP was towing
away the wreckage of a fatal accident, probalby caused by the Indian
driver's refusal to drive at night with their lights on! 60 years of hard
work and these CMP's are still a viable working proposition- inspite of the
Indians not because of them.
