True believers and friends...
The time has come to take the next evolutionary step in MV collection, and
that is to obtain the very same type of MV that I used to drive in the
Marine Corps (it wasn't the M37, M37s don't mount M2 .50 HMGs)...
I offer a 1965 M37B1 WOW, 318 conversion, 12V, with the following amenities:
Full canvas (cab, cargo, and end curtains - Weebee Webbing repro) with newly
manufactured lumber and hardware, 4 nearly new (under 500 miles) military
NDTs, spare tire (door mounted), Recently rebuilt carburator, Arctic top
(needs cleaning up), glass is intact, windows roll up, very minor rust,
pioneer rack (I'll even throw in the ax, shovel, and mattock), troop seats
(and strap), jerry can holder (with Jerry can), and comes with all manuals
on CD, has a clear California title. The radiator has had another core
added, along with a auxiliary electric fan and "parade switch".
Things wrong with her:
Wrong color green (WW2 - if it matters, OD is OD), needs a real spare tire
retaining spinner (them 3 prong jobbers), you might want to do a wee bit of
rewiring on the lights and instrumentation, gas gauge needs to be
reconnected, gas filler tube needs sealing, she'll need a lube job
relatively soon, the driver seat needs a new cover and the passenger seat
back needs to be rebuilt.
For all of this I am asking for the following:
EITHER a late model military jeep (M38 or M151 series in similar condition
(with canvas and pioneer gear, good rubber, decent canvas, little to no body
"issues", can be pressed into service as a daily driver with little effort,
able to register on the highway - we can discuss this...)
OR
something in the range of $5000.00 (also negotiable).
Truck is in Corona, California. Buyer to arrange any shipping. Truck is sold
as is.
I can be contacted in the evenings at 909-340-2341 or via e-mail at
wrbenson@prodigy.net
I do have pictures available upon request.
Thanks,
Bill
