Hi List,
Does anyone have any detailed info about this compressor other than
what is in the standard TM for the Deuce 'n Half?
Here are the questions:
1-What is the oil preasure going into the tiny 1/8"? port on the base of
the pump? ie There is the pump itself which sits on a mounting bracket
which bolts directly to the engine block.
Oil goes into this port on the mounting bracket, and then is routed to
the base of the pump, and from there to the bearings.
2- Does anyone know if this pump was ever used with a different bracket
that was used as part of a standalone unit. ie not attached to an engine
block?
I am trying to make this unit work without attaching it directly to an
engine block. Maybe using a seperate oil pump and possibly driving it
from an aux. motor.
Any help very much appreciated.
