Mike, better be looking to change those fuel filters. The primary is on the
frame under the alternator. Get an exploded view of the filters before
changing them. Sometimes springs are missing and render the filter useless.
Also, clean out the cans as sediment can settle and paste up in them. Mine
peaked out at 2200 before filter change. Now it screams up to 2600 and if you
aren't careful it will keep climbing. This is just plain old good
maintenance!
