I believe your bumper numbers would be as follows on a M35 duece:

rear, 1st line, left side 25
rear, 2nd line, left side 7F11
rear, 1st line, right side B (or HQ for headquarters, SV for service
battery, A or B or C for firing battery)
rear, 2nd line, right side 12 ( to designate vehicle number)

front, right side 25-7F11
front, left side B-12 (or as above to designate battery and veh #)

This is all Vietnam era stuff, so I don't know if it was any different for
somebody elses war.

The 105mm towed howitzer did't have any unit markings just "US ARMY" on the
upper recoil tube. We also painted our howitzers name on the tube. Mine
was "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" (very original).
