I did a little research on diesel powered US vehicles in WW2 from Crismon's
book:
Diamond T model M20 5871
Federal model 604 1443
White model 1064 2500
M3A1E1 Scoutcar ????
M4 tank Sherman ????
total 9814
Say that theShermans and the Scout cars were another 10,000 (unlikely). Call
it 20,000 total diesel powered US military vehicles in WW2. That would be
like 2.6% of just the deuce production in WW2 (~762,750), not counting
Jeeps, Chevys, Dodges, etc
