The winch on my civilian wrecker is made of a gearbox from an overhead
conveyor from a shut down factory and an electric motor from a electric
motor scooter. The motor is about the size of a starter motor but holds
a steady speed and is made for continuous run. It has worked well for
over 10 years now.
