David & listers,

I don't know that it is necessary to show the names of who bought what.
The bidder # would do as well as a name in doing research on what goes for
how much.
I did a bid for a metal building company on the Lull Forklifts in 784.
It would have been nice to have the ability to see what such equipment went
for in the past, so as to prepare both my client and his banker as to what
to expect to pay.
Also, it would have been nice to know without having to bid on the lesser of
the two forks whether the same bidder was on both.

Another interesting question to consider is "What would happen if a FFI
request was put in on all bidding information.
Being government surplus, the info should be kept as "public record".

Give me some research tools and I'll be a happy camper!

To All On The List,

I have been asked by many on this list to provide the names of the
successful bidders on MV's, and the dealers have been the largest group
against showing what they are buying vehicles for. After reading these
emails putting GL down for selling "AS IS WHERE IS" I am considering
putting the successful bidders names on the website so everyone can see
what the dealers are buying. Everyone has the option to preview and inspect
any vehicle for sale. If you are buying from the website photo and
description only, then bid according to that information. I have always and
still encourage everyone to preview and know what you are buying. We
receive the vehicles from the government "AS IS WHERE IS" and so you should
be aware that they could be missing parts and need repairs.

Yes, Glen, it's getting ridiculous. Eventually they'll drive some of us
dealers
out of business. And for what? A deuce bid on by pictures and arrives with
a
blown
transfer, transmission or broken crankshaft? No warranty, no re course? I
offer a
full warranty, GL offers as-is, where is.
