Re: [MV] mv- AUCTIONS - it just isn't fair!

Everyone in the sales process of these MVs has their own agenda. Not much of it has anything to do with being fair!

Government - Get as much money as possible for old or un-needed equipment.
GL - Buy as low as possible - sell as high as possible, maximize return on investments.
GL Buyer - non dealer - buy as low as possible.
GL Buyer - dealer - buy as low as possible and sell as high as possible.

What does any of this have to do with being fair?

"Fair" is only your evaluation in regards to a deal.

When was the last time you went to a store, saw a really low price on something and told the cashier that the price is too low to be fair, you really want to pay
$10 instead of $5?

I know of a cell phone dealer that sells a 45 cent device for $12.00 everyday. Most dealers do the same thing. Is that fair?

Bill Gates makes Windows XP CDs for less than 50 cents but people routinely pay over $75.00 for the disk. Is that fair?

It is all a matter of perception. If I think my time is worth $500/hr and consequently I should be paid $1 million per year. I think that would be fair. My
employer doesn't agree. (;->) So much for fairness.
