Ok, before all the assuming goes a muck on the list, check out
www.stormbirds.com
This is the web site for this project. The ME262 was loved by its pilots.
Those who had expirence flying and in combat had a high success rate with
the 262. It is a known fact that when push came to shove for the Luftwaffa.
They shoved inexpirenced pilots into the seat, some with less then 10 hours
total flying time. Imagine a student pilot trying to land a F-16. You
would have the same trouble.
It is true that the Jumo engine had its problems, to where the replica is
powered by 2 pratt & whitney engines.
Check the site out, its worth the time.
