Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the oil pan removed from an
LDT-465-1C motor. My truck has what appears to be a reular pan gasket on the
pan, with a metal shim welded in place at the corners on top of it. this
metal shim fits against the block. Is this correct? Having a gasket
sandwiched between the pan and the shim? I fail to see how this could seal
anything. Especially the pan bolts.
Thanks,
Bob Wilson
