NEED DATA: SHORTY SHOTGUNS IN COMBAT
In preparing the brief for the Supreme Court in re: Silveira v.
Lockyer:
http://www.KeepAndBearArms.com/silveira/scotus.asp
Our team needs to come up with convincing evidence that the short-
barreled shotgun was indeed used in combat and is an effective tool
for same. (Part of dismantling U.S. v. Miller involves making the
arguments Jack Miller wasn't there to make in his case -- namely,
that a short-barreled shotgun was and is militarily useful.)
Not looking for opinions -- they are a dime a dozen. We need sources
the Justices and their law clerks can validate independently -- that
shorties WERE USED IN COMBAT. The farther back the better, but at
least in WWI, which precedes the Miller decision (1939).
Please write me directly at Director@KeepAndBearArms.com if you have
any recommendations on where to look for such evidence. If you know
ANY books that cover such data, we'll buy them. If you HAVE a book
that covers such data and are willing to provide scanned images of
the pages that address the issue plus all relevant data on book so it
can be cited, that would be fantastic! If scanning said pages is too
much, specific citations from the book including page number(s) and
relevant publisher data on book would be most helpful.
Sooner the better.
Thanks.
