Like I said in an earlier post State Farm gave me a policy on my Stuart
tank, I have used them for the last 23 years and have been extremely
satisfied with. I have had several claims and on everyone the matter was
settled in less than a week, often within 24 hours. It cost a little more
but you get what you pay for. Piece of mind is priceless.

Subject: Re: [MV] insurance
I have FB but not for much longer. I recently had an accident, called my
insurance agent, and he was not concerned that I was ok, which I was,
but that the other party might sue. I had to talk to the other insurance
company involved (progressive) and they were very relieved-sounding that
I and the other driver were not hurt, and expressed concern over the
loss of my truck. I had just paid off the truck, so my insurance was
bare minimum. Ironic - he made a ton of money on the truck during the
life of the loan I had on it. You would think that he would have treated
me better.
Also, our bill would increase dramatically without warning. Full
coverage on 2 vehicals was up to $200/month. When I would call to find
out what was up, he would just give me some mumbo jumbo about stuff that
did not seem to me to have anything to do with my policy. I never made a
claim with them, and our bill never went down. Always up. He would also
badger me every time I went to his office in person to buy life insurance.
We would try to insure our dune buggy every year with him. He would say,
"sure, no problem". Invariably, we would get a call from one of FB's
underwriters that our dune buggy was "High Risk", and therefore
uninsurable. He did insure my M35, but even though it is never ever
used for money, he refused to issue anything but a commercial policy.
When we buy our next vehicle, we will be going with AIG (my wife is a
teacher) or progressive. FB sucks!
