At the bottom is the ratio of the 3053 trans in the multifuel deuce. The
idea of getting a complete split shift pattern using the transfer case might
not be practical. The following method does close the gaps between 2nd and
3rd high. Follow me thru 7 gears here. Compare to the regular shifts on the
right.
1st low 10.04 to 1
2nd low 5.56 to 1 1st high 5.02 to 1
3rd low 3.24 to 1 2nd high 2.78 to 1
4th low 2.00 to 1 3rd high 1.62 to 1
5th low 1.58 to 1 4th high 1.00 to 1
4th high 1.00 to 1 5th high 0.79 to 1
5th high 0.79 to 1.
You may not need to start in 1st low but if your really loaded it may help.
Compare the ratios and your needs and drive accordingly. Joe Trapp, try
this. I know you move heavy stuff with your deuce. Once mastered to memory,
its priceless.
