G'day all,
Here in Oz, I also saw the footage of the burned-out AAVP7A1's (at least, I
think they were A1's, they had the square headlight insets) claimed on the
reporter's voiceover as 'Iraqi tanks'.
I was wandering why these were taking part in a mostly desert operation; were
they intending to swim up the Euphrates river at some stage? I also noticed
that the didn't have the EEAK (I think that's the designation) applique
armour fitted, and being of aluminium contstruction I guess they burned pretty
fast.
