Hi Tom,
Thanks again for letting my son sit in the Jeep. You can see how happy he
is. Very nice restoration. Great job.
You might be confused (or it might be me). I know the MTA show was in the NG
armory in Dover. I went to another open house at the NG armory in
Hackettstown yesterday. Two different shows.

Doug,
The jeep listed as M38, is mine. It is an 1952 M38A1. M38A1's are the
first round fendered jeeps. They started making them in August 1952 with
serial number 10,000. Mine was made in September 1952 & already is Serial
number 20,282.
It is made by Willys & it has the new (At the time) overhead Valve engine.
The M38 has Flat fenders & a Flat Head engine.
For your records, the show was at the NG Armory in Dover NJ.
Question: Can you send me an e-mail with that picture ??? I have no
pictures taken during the show. It is nice seeing your son enjoying
sitting in the jeep. That was the first show since I completed the 2 year
rebuilding project. It makes me feel good, since other members do not let
people in the vehicles.
The picture has my trailer in the background. We were working on recruiting
for the Korean War Veterans Association. If you know any Korean Era
Veterans, tell him about our KWVA Chapter.
