Hmmmm.... I got 2 tan water containers and a tripod with a spigot assembly
consisting of a brass ball valve and either a female hose to male pipe
adapter or a female pipe to male pipe adapter I got at the local home depot.
Military does some strange stuff, but when it comes to water cans they
follow the KISS principle. Just take off your water can lid and take it with
you to Home Depot and buy what you need...I ain't the brightest bulb in the
circuit, but the threads on the plastic lid aren't very strong, but after 5
week long rallys at Weare, NH the threads on the male outlet are still fine
and the little cap seals tight, so I must be doing something right, or I'm
lucky like Ted was at Colemans.
Cans and spouts available from Brigade Quartermasters Per Jeff Hannah.

Hi All...
OK, here's more on the jerry can tripods and spigots (thanks to
everyone for the answers):
The guy who was selling the jerry can tripods back in August of 2001
was "J. HAIN-MATSON" <keystone@flmv.net> (eBay username is "govsurp").
But I don't see anything listed by him currently, nor any tripods from
other eBay folks.
Also, on the spout, unfortunately Ronzo had good intentions in his
reply to my message nor to his reply to Muttguru@aol.com on 30 August
2001...but the plastic jerry cans do NOT accept a standard garden hose
fitting.
I have located the manufacturer of the plastic jerry cans:
http://www.scepter.com/gc/gc_page.exe?F=F&K=Military&V=Brief&R=&ID=040212431
52161036512433
and it looks like that also have the tripods and spigots.
If anyone finds a source of tripods or spigots, please post to the
list.
Thanks!
