Point well taken. I've never seen any action other than a bicyclist
with a broken arm, two drunks fighting, and a dangerously overheating
generator set (not ours). For this I am thankful, and I am doubly
thankful to those who have seen as you say both good and bad.
Who do I, with no Federal military experience, watch and try to learn
from, in the Texas Guard? It's the Veterans who have seen it and done
it. Mostly it's the senior NCO's. With no disrespect to officers or
anyone else, it's those guys who made a career of jumping out of
perfectly good aircraft or trudging around in the woods in other
countries, who will watch your six like a hawk, keep you from doing
stoopid things, and make a good soldier of you, lead by example.
Hey by the way my brother sent a picture, don't know from where, you
guess:
"208.190.133.201/100_0083c.JPG"
MV content: a HMMWV is shown in the picture.
