In comparison the new FMTV 2-1/2 ton trucks (replacement deuces), have the
following ratings:
Basic cargo truck (M1078): Curb weight 17.770 lb (!!), max payload 5000 lb
(same rating off/on road).
It features a single rear axle with single tires w/CTIS all around.
The wheels are Titan 20 x 10 inch and the tires are Michelin 395/85 R20 with
a rating of 9,645 lb (95 psi) tubeless. The tires are rated at a maximum
highway speed of 55 mph.
The engine is the in-line 6 cylinder, turbocharged 3116 ATAAC Cat, rated at
225 hp.
