Subject: [MV] WWII Ambulance for $600!?!
Hi list, and good morning. Questions/Advice needed from all ya,
I keep getting messages from my mom about a WWII Ambulance (among other
things that likely won't interest you guys) that's available in a local
town. The only detail I can get out of her is "it's painted military green"
What could this vehicle be? Dodge? Stud? Ford? and MV designation?
I definitely want to check this thing out. But a price of $600 worries me.
It means something is wrong and YOU can fix it. If it runs, I'll test drive
it. If it's worthy enough to drive 30 miles to my place, I'll likely end up
buying it. Perhaps maybe just to put countless hours of restoration work to
into it, and sell it again for a little higher price to aid in finishing my
jeep.
Any well running MV at $600 is probably beat to hell with a torn up/damaged
body, broken glass, missing lots of little items, but well worth the price.
Maybe I'll luck out; "That old POS used to be grandpa's and now we're just
trying to get rid of the ugly thing"...
What should I be looking for in a running MV? (My jeep was pretty much scrap
when I bought it) What should I watch out for? Listen for, etc.
Thanks,
Aaron Horrocks
