I agree. The metric system is simply better. Why the US didn't convert
entirely years ago I don't know. I go into machine shops quite a bit and
they have metric lathes and old english mills. It must get pretty
confusing. Most of the new equipment is metric, because unfortunately most
of the new machine tools are not American made. (:-<)

This was the first thing I thought about when this discussion started.
That has to be the most famous english to metric ( or visa versa )
confusion screwup known.
