A problem with the 127 is that it won't comply with the new narrow bandwidth
transmit requirements. Not that big a problem for the ham radio community,
but a pretty big deal out in the government and commercial sectors. The fed
side is buying 127As which are in compliance which is why there are a lot of
127s around.
