Hey Tim,
How much you thinking for this turkey? I bought one for $50 a couple
of years ago and have it in storage.. the most expensive thing to replace
is the lunette since the true BT-C's come with a hitch for a ball. It
should have the correct landing leg though... I didn't know that Bantam
kept making the things into the 1950's.. I had heard that the BT-C's were
just left over MBT's that Bantam sold thru Sears.
By the time you blast, paint, replace the tail gate if you want and
get rid of the side pieces and order the correct light mounts from Tom
Campbell and then buy the correct harness, tires and black out lights you
could be spending what it would take to by a correct one... The other thing
is the true BT-C's do not have brakes on the axle or the hand brake
handle.. I would look at it real close and make sure it isn't really an MBT
and then try to guess how much you will have to put into it before you make
an offer.. They wouldnt be too hard to convert I would think..
Good luck though!!
