As long as it looks decent you shouldn't have a problem. Get 4 good pictures of each side. I heard they started requiring pictures because people were getting antique plates on any old P.O.S. just to avoid inspection, etc.
First time I submitted my Ferret for antique plates (in PA, 5 years ago), it got kicked back with a hand written note saying "not street legal." waited a while, re-submitted and this time it went through. All depends on who's doing the paperwork that day.
If you run into a problem like that, wait and submit a whole new application.
