5 ton power steering

Does anyone know which manual has the testing procedure for testing the original 5 ton steering (box mounted on top of left frame)? This is not the 800 series steering.

I know there is testing that can be done with gauges. I have a test kit, but it has no instructions. They were gone before I got it.

The steering seems "jerky" when going from left to right and back.
